Photos montage gets started!
Just had a session with Alex @ Captured Moments this evening regarding the wedding montage. As usual, he was most patient listening to yh and myself explain the ideas we had and drilling down into which pictures we wanted.. Hehe we had kinda gone wild! and selected 80+ photos.. The song was “???????” .. a fav of yh’s. Can’t wait to see the first draft in 2 weeks!
2 years @ Rasa Sentosa
Haven’t had much time to update/post for the past week. We celebrated our 2 years on a tiny getaway to Rasa Sentosa last weekend
Was a nice little surprise for yh and was great to enjoy a relaxing weekend together.
Sony GPS-CS1 and Travels
Finally got my hands on the Sony GPS-CS1 that was recently announced. Had travelled to Singapore Expo for Comex during the Alpha launch and couldn’t get it.. Thank goodness Hai Chew Electronics in good ole Sim Lim Square was selling it. The salesman was pretty helpful in explaining how it worked etc (Forgot to ask his name, but definitely good service!).
Tried out the GPS unit yesterday and couldn’t wait to see the track log on Google Earth! After wrestling with what the heck format are they using, (finally found out it’s NMEA-0183 after googling for “@Sonygps/ver1.0/wgs-84″ and being led to a japanese site), I managed to get it converted into Google KML using GPSBabel. Pretty fun to see the waypoints being mapped out. Can’t wait to use it on my travels!
Michael & Yuhui - Growing Up
We’re doing up our montage for the wedding past couple of weeks. Been a long process of getting all the old photos, scanning and trying to date them as best as memory permits. Definitely been fun to look back at how we grew up and find similar photos for the montage.
3 months anniversary to having our own nest
Today marks the day that we had moved into our own home for 3 months already and is in fact just 3 days away from our 2nd together anniversary and 1st marriage anniversary.
The Lake House
Both of us watched “Il Mare” before so more or less already knew the story. Was interesting too see it unfurled in another setting and country. Though I can’t remember much about the first film, I think the novelty of it struck me more the first time and made me wonder if the two would meet. The latter film doesn’t give me that feeling for some reason.
The Lake House seems to move at a slower pace for both of us than the korean version. That said, I still think the basic premise of two people getting together is still a wonderful idea, even if I had to suspend logic (of time paradoxes) to accept it! Hehe, me and yh are such an example! We met almost 12 years ago, and took our own sweet time to finally get together ![]()
