The Seafood Paradise Restaurant @ 91 Defu Lane 10
We decided to visit a place just mentioned on tv for its delicious seafood (especially known for its crabs) and so we headed down to 91 Defu Lane 10. The restaurant was hidden amidst rows of industrial buildings. After a little mix up over our reservation, we managed to get a table in the inner section (think it would have been better to open the doors if the air-con isn’t supposed to be on?).
The place looked very nicely renovated and the items on the menu definitely very appealing. We ordered baby backribs, homemade bean-curd in mini-wok, asparagus with scallops and the main crab dishes of crab in vermicelli soup as well as another butter crabs with coconut crumbs.
The wait was about half an hour for the first 3 dishes and we all especially impressed with the baby back ribs that were roasted in honey and pepper sauce.
The crabs arrived another half hour later (apparently the average waiting time is 45 min to 1 hour for crabs) and we tucked into the butter crabs first. It was quite nice especially when you dip the fried man-tou into the butter cream. Everyone also agreed that the crab in vermicelli soup was even more appealing to the taste buds since it was something different and the crab was huge!
With its reasonable price and good food, I’m sure we’ll be back here in the future. Yum yum
