Canon PowerShot S5 IS… Where did S4 IS go?
The compact design incorporates a new hot shoe that provides compatibility with selected Canon EX Speedlite external flashes, adding to an accessory list that includes Wide, Tele and Close-up converter lenses.
Wow! A new S5 IS got announced today with the ability to add on an external flash. One of the main issues I have the current S3 IS (which I got last year) is that the flash isn’t very good for some occassions so the add on capability sounds good. Also, it has up to ISO 1600 with IS which ups the ante a little. This really makes it harder to consider using a dSLR (which has no video function that is quite useful sometimes)?
